Our Mission

Embracing All with Redeeming Love

Beit Haverim exists to uplift the spiritual lives of those seeking a deeper connection with Jewish identity and tradition. We offer meaningful worship, engaging education, and welcoming fellowship for anyone who wishes to walk a Jewish path — regardless of prior affiliation, background, or belief.

Our doors and hearts are open to interfaith families, the LGBTQ+ community, Jewish seekers, and those reconnecting with faith. At Beit Haverim, you’re not a visitor. You’re a valued part of something larger.

What We Believe In

  • A spiritually enriching experience rooted in Reform Judaism
  • Full inclusion and affirmation of LGBTQ+ and interfaith individuals
  • Lay-led and rabbinical services that respect tradition and welcome innovation
  • Opportunities for lifelong Jewish learning
  • Shared meals, games, film nights, and outings to foster community
  • The belief that a congregation becomes a community when people come together — in joy, in sorrow, in dialogue, and in celebration

Our Weekly Rhythm

Every Friday night, we gather at 7:00 p.m. for Shabbat services led by Rabbi Philip Rosenberg, followed by an Oneg where food and fellowship abound.

Every Saturday night, we build community through informal and spirited events — including Bingo, Movie Nights, Game Nights, dining out, and recreational outings like bowling or Putt-Putt. These gatherings create joyful, relaxed spaces where friendships deepen and new connections flourish.

Leadership

Rabbi Steven Rosenberg

Rabbi Steven Rosenberg brings years of insight, empathy, and spiritual guidance to Beit Haverim. His leadership is rooted in curiosity and care, offering members of all backgrounds a place to reflect, ask questions, and discover what Jewish life can mean for them personally. Through heartfelt sermons and open dialogue, Rabbi Steven Rosenberg invites everyone to bring their full selves to the conversation.

A Community, Not Just a Congregation

The difference between a congregation and a community is simple: it’s the feeling of being known, valued, and supported. At Beit Haverim, we don’t just worship together — we live life together. We laugh around dinner tables, explore big questions, support one another through difficult times, and celebrate our most joyful moments side by side.
That is how a congregation becomes a community — through intentional, consistent acts of welcome, presence, and care.
